Year:
2013
Quarter:
July - September
Protocol Activities:

Terrestrial Vertebrate : We submitted all the pictures obtained with the camera traps. Eight camera traps were damaged (humidity) and brought back to the USA for repair work at RECONYX. We received 2 camera traps (RECONYX 500) from TEAM-USA

Vegetation Protocol: Data from all 6 plots were submitted during October. We tried to use the tablets in the field but energy ran out after 3 hours and we were not able to charge them back due to the energy problems that are a constant source of trouble at the station.

Climate Protocol: The temperature sensor was brought back to the USA -Cambpell offices for calibration. We received a new temperature sensor from TEAM-USA.

Protocol Problems:

We experienced trouble uplodading the vertebrate data. The Data transfered via Desk-TEAM did not work and the Filezilla transfer also did not work propoerly so we submited the data by November even though all the data was ready by October 1st.

Schedule Problems:

Weather collection. We will have a delay on the weather data collection of November, December, January and February (maybe March) due to the rainy season and the potential landslides that are affecting the area every year. Data was collected on November 30th (and soon to be uploaded) but it will not be collected until January 30th (landslides and the impossibility to risk the security of the assistant of the project).
