Unusual Events at the TEAM Site: 

In array 2 there was a juvenile tapir (Tapirus terrestis) with a adult tapir detected at CT 2.04.

A Nine- banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcintus) with 4 juveniles was detected at CT 2.29, and the seven-banded armadillo (Dasypus septemcintus) with 3 juveniles at CT 2.12.

It was also the first time that we detected a Yellow Footed Tortoise  (Chelonodis denticulata) at CT2.22. The tortoise was detected with a Great Tinamou (Tinamus major).

New Species: 

No new species

Protocol Activities: 

1. Climate Monitoring protocol

No climate data for January- March 2016. The Climate station is still not working, due to malfunctioning of the solar panel which is too low to charge the battery of the climate station.

 

2. Terrestrial vertebrate (ct) monitoring.

From February- March we did the annotation of the camera trap images of array 1. There were  camera trap images of 27 camera traps.  And from March – April we did the annotation of the camera trap images of array 2, which were in total 24 camera traps. Both TPK files are uploaded to the TEAM server.

 

3. Vegetation Monitoring protocol

In the process of uploading the vegetation data to TEAM network.

Protocol Problems: 

Six cameras didn't work after the pick-up in array 2. Three cameras already malfunctioned after the pick-up in array 1.
