Walking with the boat

The waterlevel of the Coppename river was low, on a lot of places so low that we had to walk with the boat in the river. We even had to spend a night on the river on our way to the Fieldstation. The dry places in the river were also the reason why it took longer to get to the entrances of the TEAM trails.

In the forest the creeks were dry and there were many fallen trees, a few of the trees also fell on the camera trap points and took the flagged trees down. We encounter three times White-lip Peccary packs on the trails, one of the packs was playing in the mud. And we saw a Giant Anteater near the trail.

On the second field trip a Dutch author, who writes romans, joined the camera trap team. He wanted to get inspiration in the forest.
