Predation by Jaguar in Caxiuanã - Brazil

In October, camera traps at the TEAM site in Caxiuana, Brazil caught this jaguar (Panthera onca) capturing and feeding of a small mammal. Jaguars are the largest terrestrial carnivore in the Neotropics. Although, jaguars commonly prefer medium and large preys, like peccaries, capybaras, deers and caimans, this one looks appreciate a little snack too.
