The SINAC (National System of Conservation Areas in Costa Rica) Through the MAPCOBIO Project (Promoting Participatory Management for Biodiversity Conservation) and JICA (Japanese International Cooperation Agency) recently published and printed a book about “A handbook for participatory monitoring of terrestrial vertebrates through camera traps”. The site manager was the author of this handbook that was made using large inputs from TEAM Terrestrial Vertebrates protocol. This handbook will be a useful guide for park rangers and local people to set up cameras in the field and implement camera traps studies.

The large inputs from TEAM Protocol was the steps to carry out a good sampling design, all steps to setting up the cameras in the field (deployment plan), and steps to processing the data carefully ordering the respective files and cards.
